National Eisteddfod 2026

The National Eisteddfod of Wales (Eisteddfod y Garreg Las) takes place in Llantwd, North Pembrokeshire, from 1–8 August 2026. This year is a major milestone, celebrating 850 years since the very first recorded Eisteddfod in Cardigan in 1176. The West Wales u3a Network will be attending on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th August. Volunteers have been recruited from the different branches.

Network Meeting July 2026

In July 2026 the West Wales Network committee met together in person at the Myrddin Indoor Centre in Carmarthen. The meeting was chaired by Hazel Towle,, the new network chair. The minutes are available on the Home screen including details of the branch reports.

The new officers, appointed at the AGM in February are Jan Manning, Network treasurer, Hazel Towle, Network chair, David Grindrod, Vice-chair and Phillippa Verity Davies, Network Secretary.

Next Committee Meeting November 2026

The next meeting which will be held in Carmarthen on Tuesday 17th November 2026 starting at 1.30pm at the Myrddin Indoor Bowling Centre. The address is: Picton Terrace, Carmarthen SA31 3BT.
